3 POWERFUL RAMADHAN SMOOTHIE RECIPES FOR SUHOOR

So we’ve hit the fifteen day mark of this glorious month and for most of us, that energy we’ve been exerting getting up to perform various acts of Ibadah and preparing the pre-dawn meal all at the same time is slowly deteriorating. So what’s the plan? Why not try a powerful Ramadhan Smoothie.

Need I say that for my husband and I, this Ramadhan has been a game – changer. Suhoor for us has been light meals, switching between bowls of cereal, oats, Ogi, fura da nunu and of course, shakes and smoothies which provides us with lots of nutrients and hydration. Iftar on the other hand has been a little more elaborate with a variety of simple meals; an entirely different post is coming up on that. This period has found me exploring my creative side in the kitchen. While I’m busy experimenting with the array of ingredients available in my cabinets and refridgerator, my husband folds his arms at the door, watching in excitement the final result of my kitchen adventures. Even my nine-month old son is not left out of the fun. He totally loves it. The ‘light suhoor’ thing has got us bursting with energy and in the spirit of all that we have benefitted from it, I’m sharing with you three of my most powerful ramadhan smoothie recipes which has kept me feeling nice, healthy and beaut‌iful. What other exciting way to be green during this blessed month?
